Henry Ruggs is taking a plea deal.

If you remember, back in November of 2021, former Las Vegas Raiders star Henry Ruggs II found himself in a horrific situation. Although it was his fault that the situation happened, there is no doubt that fans were shocked. Ruggs ended up killing a woman and her dog after speeding in his Corvette. At the time of the crash, Ruggs was going 156 MPH which is insane speed. Additionally, he had twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system. Needless to say, the Raiders were quick to cut him from the roster.

Since that time, Henry Ruggs has been in and out of court in relation to the case. He had been facing four felony charges, as well as one misdemeanor, according to TMZ. Now, however, Ruggs has entered a plea deal in which many of his charges have been dropped. Instead, he has simply pleaded guilty to "one felony count of DUI resulting in death and one misdemeanor count of vehicular manslaughter."

Henry Ruggs Will Be Going To Prison

With this plea deal, Henry Ruggs could get anywhere from three to 10 years in prison. However, the judge could end up deciding to overrule the plea deal. If this were to happen, Ruggs could decide to plead not guilty. Subsequently, there would be a trial, however, that seems fairly unlikely at this point. No matter what, this is a massive update in a case that has gone on for a year and a half.

Overall, this pretty well spells the end of Ruggs and his NFL career. However, for the family of the victim, that is the least of their concerns.
