Meek Mill has shared the video for "Save Me," a track that will appear on the upcoming deluxe edition of his July album Wins & Losses. The video finds Meek returning to his home neighborhood, dressed in a tux and driving a Maybach. He walks through the halls of his high school and looks back upon his improbable journey through the streets and into hip-hop's elite. The introspective track is an unusually melodic effort for Meek, though it's still brimming with his signature street-bred passion.
The Dougie-produced "Save Me" first showed up on Meekend Music II, the 4-track mixtape that Meek dropped a few weeks before Wins & Losses. The deluxe version of Wins & Losses will also include "Left Hollywood," a track that landed on the first Meekend Music, released in May.
Just yesterday, Meek appeared in the video for Rick Ross' "Lamborghini Doors." The track, which features Meek as well as Anthony Hamilton, appeared on Ross' March album Rather You Than Me. Ross may have released the video to quell rumors of any tension between him and his MMG signee, which arose in the wake of Meek appearing onstage with 50 Cent, a noted rival of Rozay's.
It's unclear when the deluxe edition will be released, or if it will contain any tracks besides "Save Me" and "Left Hollywood." Stream the original Wins & Losses here, and find download links to both Meekend Music projects below.
