Congratulations to Ab-Soul on the birth of his twins!

It’s a new chapter in Ab-Soul’s career and his personal life, as well. The TDE rapper returned after a six-year hiatus with his latest album, Herbert. The deeply personal opus found Ab-Soul opening up about his struggles with mental health and the loss of loved ones in recent years, while also shifting away from the conspiracy-laden bars that he’s known for. But besides his releases, the rapper’s also expanding his family. The 36-year-old rapper shared that he welcomed twins this week in a heartfelt post to his Instagram page.

Soulo’s post shows him shirtless, cradling his newborns in his arms with a framed painting of his late friend Doeburger blurred at the forefront of the photo. Of course, for such as occasion, he commemorated the milestone by quoting the GOAT Jay-Z. “Everybody stressin. Who’s his babies mom? Who he got pregnant? Let me tell you, uuuhhhh,” he captioned the post. The bars reference Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel’s “Streets Is Watching” single but evidently, Ab-Soul’s kept his relationship status private. He was previously romantically involved with Yaris Sanchez, though there’s no indication on his page or hers if she’s the mother.

Things are certainly about to get very busy for Ab-Soul in the coming months. Along with welcoming twins, he also announced his forthcoming Intelligent Movement tour in support of Herbert. The tour kicks off in Toronto on June 2nd before hitting major cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta. It’s certainly going to be one for the books, especially since Ab-Soul hasn’t necessarily embarked don a full-blown tour in a few years.

In addition to his upcoming tour, both Ab-Soul and Top Dawg have indicated that a new album will follow soon. Although Ab-Soul went on a six-year hiatus between 2016’s Do What Thou Wilt and Herbert, Top Dawg confirmed that there will be a deluxe coming soon while also hinting that another project ould arrive before 2023 comes to an end. We could only hope that’s true but we’ll have to wait for a release date. Check out Ab-Soul’s post above.
