Prior to his sudden death, Christopher "Big Black" Boykin was about to make a comeback in the fashion industry.
According to TMZ, Chris' manager Mark Shin said that Big Black clothing was seeing continuing popularity and demand and its eponymous creator was considering bringing it back in a major way. The brand had ceased licensing and any sales over the past year and was instead focused on finalizing its next big business deal.
Following Black's death last Tuesday, those plans were put on hold indefinitely, however Shin says the brand's now considering a downsized launch so that all of the proceeds can benefit Chris' daughter, Isis. This comes after rumors that the brand itself would fold without Black as its driving force.
With a nest egg already started for his daughter, we could very well see a posthumous surge for Black in the near future.
