Aaron Hernandez remains one of the most infamous players in the history of the NFL. Although, this is not for the best of reasons. As we all remember, he was convicted of murder. Subsequently, he went to prison and eventually died by suicide in 2017. Overall, it was a very sad saga that weighed heavily on his family. Now, his brother DJ is going through his own subset of legal issues, albeit on a much lower scale. For instance, back in March, DJ Hernandez was met by police on two separate occasions.
The first time police came into contact with him was on March 8th during a high-speed chase. Following the chase, Hernandez got hit with one count of failure to drive in a proper lane and one count of failure to use traffic control signals. According to TMZ, DJ has subsequently pled guilty to these charges. However, this was all part of a plea deal. Now, the charges are officially dropped, and Hernandez will only have to pay some fines.
Aaron Hernandez & DJ Have Had Their Issues
Although, this does not mean he is out of the woods in regard to his legal woes. On March 23rd, the brother of Aaron Hernandez got a misdemeanor charge due to a situation at the ESPN campus in Connecticut. He reportedly threw a brick onto the premises with a note attached to it. The note had something to do with the network's coverage of his brother. Since that time, he has been told to stay away from the campus, or he could face severe punishment. The trespassing case has yet to be dealt with.
Regardless, this is a very sad story for a multitude of reasons. It is clear that the Aaron Hernandez case has had an effect on his family members. Hopefully, DJ can get the help that he needs.
