The Boat Tail is sleek, blue, and about as luxurious as you'd expect from the New York mogul.

As one of hip-hop's billionaires, Jay-Z is known to live large and prosperously, and his latest car is no exception. Recently, footage surfaced online of the "99 Problems" MC's $28 million Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, a sleek blue model that looks pristine in the highlight clip. Moreover, it's just one of many luxury cars that Hov possesses, although he's busy flexing other accomplishments. Of course, people made plenty of jokes about the car on social media, especially given its namesake. "For 28 mil that better fly, sail, and dive underwater," one fan wrote on Instagram.

However, don't let Jay's massive success and pockets fool you. From what many artists indicate, he remained humble and down-to-earth as he became one of the richest music figures in the world. For example, Fridayy recently recalled how Jay-Z fought to keep him on DJ Khaled's "GOD DID." As he recounted the experience, he praised how "cool" Mr. Carter is despite his opulence, which usually drives artists to a tone-deaf mentality. For the New York native, though, it doesn't seem to faze him.

"Jay-Z’s cooler than a lot of little n***as,” the singer remarked to Angela Yee on her Way Up podcast. “You know how little n***as be in the game on some cocky s**t? Jay-Z really like a cool n***a. When I’m next to him, I don’t feel like he a celebrity. [He comes across like] a regular person, saying regular jokes. I remember during the [Grammys] performance, we’re taking a picture and he’s like, ‘You know I fought for you right?’ I’m like, ‘What you mean?’

“He’s like, ‘They was trying to take you off the record,’" Fridayy continued. "Dead-a** serious. But Khaled been told me Jay-Z fought for you. But hearing it from him, he was like, ‘Bro, when I heard your voice it just sounded hungry.’ And then he gon’ tell me, ‘When you make it, don’t forget about me.'" As such, no Boat Tail or any amount of money could distract Hov from the artistry beneath- at least, in this case. After all, many still think he could do more, but that's a debate for another time. Meanwhile, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Jay-Z.

But more specifically, he digs for the deeper side of hip-hop conversations, whether that’s the “death” of the genre in 2023, the lyrical and parasocial intricacies of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle, or the many moving parts of the Young Thug and YSL RICO case. Beyond engaging and breaking news coverage, Gabriel makes the most out of his concert obsessions, reviewing and recapping festivals like Rolling Loud Miami and Camp Flog Gnaw. He’s also developed a strong editorial voice through album reviews, think-pieces, and interviews with some of the genre’s brightest upstarts and most enduring obscured gems like Homeboy Sandman, Bktherula, Bas, and Devin Malik.
