A few months ago Money Man dropped his first mixtape since signing with Birdman called Secret Society.
Today we get a fresh new mixtape drop that boasts 7-tracks with no features, as Money Man carries it all up on his own with his classic restrained delivery. The rapper let us know via Twitter that he recorded the whole mixtape in 24-hours, hence the name 24 Hours.
The project tops off with "Breather" that hears a DJ Dirty Dollaz stamp at the beginning (as do most tracks on the tape) followed by Money Man going off about smoking weed and bringing a gyal home. "I grow that Indica and that Sativa/ Took her to the crib and put her in the sleeper/ She need her a breather."
The next six tracks follow in order of "Visions," "Get Over," "Dead Friends," "Glorified," "Philly," and ends things off with "Handlebars (Contest Song)."
Before the release of this mixtape, the last we heard from Money Man was a feature on Philthy Rich's track "Dead Fresh." Before that was a video drop for his track "Step On It." The tracks that leads with a sick piano intro has visuals that sees Money Man in an abandoned warehouse with lots of ladies surrounding him on the regular, with a cup or two in hand.
Other than Money Man, YMCMB has a pretty sick collective of rappers. We're talking Drake, Young Money, Nicki Minaj, Rich Gang, Lil Wayne and Jacquees to name a few. We break down a full list of label runners here.
It's a best bet that Money Man will get a strong feature on any upcoming tracks, future mixtapes or album drops.
As for Birdman, the leading man behind the scenes of Cash Money, the rapper took to Instagram today to wish Lil Wayne a Happy Birthday. He quoted the photo below with, "#HBD weezy F #GOAT #livinlegend @liltunechi."
As for Lil Wayne, we'll soon be hearing him on Rich The Kid's upcoming album.
