Shannon Sharpe didn't hold back his feelings on Lakers star Anthony Davis' performance in the team's Game Two loss.

Shannon Sharpe makes no secret of being one of LeBron James' biggest supporters. The NFL Hall-of-Famer has even found himself in a physical scrum while being courtside for a Lakers game. So, when it comes to big games for the Lakers, Sharpe is locked in to watch James continue to chase history. However, on Wednesday night, the Lakers failed to go up two games against the Grizzlies. The Lakers were no match for a less than 100% Grizzlies team. One of the reasons the Lakers fell to Memphis was the performance of Anthony Davis.

Sharpe laid out the ugly performance by the former number-one overall pick. "AD is too big to be a magician, but he disappeared on me right before my eyes. That's unacceptable. You can't get outplayed by a backup." Davis was abysmal from the opening tip. The former all-star manage to only score 13 points and grab 9 rebounds in nearly 40 minutes of play. Along with horrible perimeter shooting, the Lakers couldn't overcome such a terrible night offensively.

Shannon Sharpe Expects More From Davis

If Davis doesn't return to his dominant form, the Lakers will have a quick exit this post-season. Davis has struggled to put together a great streak of performances. But all is not lost for the Lakers. It is always good for a seventh seed to score a game on the road. Now the series heads to Los Angeles, but both teams are full of uncertainty. The Grizzlies battled through Game 2 without star player Ja Morant. Morant suffered a hand injury in Game One that saw the Memphis star exit that game early.

There are many storylines heading into Game 3 of the Lakers-Grizzlies series. Morant's potential return will be massive for any future success of the Grizzlies. However, the Grizzlies may have potentially lit a fire under James after Dillon Brooks called "The King" old after Wednesday's game. Fireworks are expected when these two clash again. However, which Anthony Davis will show up for the Lakers in Game Three? Let us know your thoughts on Davis' recent performances in the comment section.
