Security brought him to the back of the room and had orders to search every bag and envelope. Previously in this case, a codefendant tried to pass Thugger a Percocet pill while in the courtroom.
However, that hand-to-hand deal reportedly stunned Young Thug and caught him completely by surprise, according to his legal team. Not only that, but many more instances of contraband and people sneaking drugs into jails and courtrooms contributed to this new policy. As such, these strict cuff-and-search procedures are reportedly unlike anything legal counsel had seen before in their careers. While YSL attorneys complained about this process, their complaints arrived amid a sea of circumstances that might warrant such checks.
