Drake has not left the charts since 2009.

The master debaters of last week's Drake vs. Nelly debate tended to agree on the point that Nelly was bigger for a shorter period of time but lacked Drake's longevity. A new factoid put forth by the Twitter account @chartdata substantiates this notion: Drake has now spent 400 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. He has not left the charts since May 2009.

@chartdata added that only three other artists have charted for 200 consecutive weeks: Lil Wayne (326), Rihanna (216), and Nicki Minaj (207). Drake closed out a historic 2016 by tying Wayne's record of 132 charting singles by a solo artist. With the imminent release of More Life, expect Drake's Hot 100 streak to continue in the near future.
