Ryan Leslie is using his recent struggles in the news and turning it into something creative--an EP and documentary titled "Black Mozart."

Ryan Leslie has had a tough time recently, with the recent verdict against him, ordering to him to pay $1 million reward to a German man who found his lost laptop, although the laptop was missing the music Leslie sought.

Leslie is taking these struggles and turning it into a new project and documentary, titled Black Mozart. He revealed the news to Vibe, and spoke on the new EP. "Black Mozart starts at the moment that I walk out of the courthouse," he said, referring to his proceedings in court last week. "I wrote the entire album in the two days following the verdict, so the album is written and will be recorded in layers with the strings, horns and potentially a choir in the royal conservatory in Vienna, Austria, one of the homes of some of the most classical music ever written."

"I’m doing this as an alternative to re-releasing my album with two new songs," he explained. "The seven new compositions will be great."

This new project will be followed by a worldwide tour, Leslie revealed. "There are a lot of cities domestically and internationally that we didn’t hit on this first run due to complications with the trial procedure," he said. "I will be going back to the UK in February and I have a concert at Irving Plaza in New York City called "Lovers and Mountains" on Valentine’s Day, so I feel very confident that either a song called "Coke Can" or "Green" will be favored and requested [there]."

This EP/documentary Black Mozart follows his album Les Is More, which is out now. No word yet on when we can expect Black Mozart.
