The Memphis MC didn't let those words stop him from doubling down on his love for Meagan, albeit in a cheeky way.

NLE Choppa and Meagan Good caused a bit of a stir on social media when they met each other via phone call on The Jason Lee Show. Moreover, Choppa and Lee were playing a spicy game of Smash or Pass, and that's when the rapper professed his love of Good and Lee got her on the phone. During a brief call, the Memphis native spoke to the actress and spat some game, which she took sweetly. However, when TMZ caught up with her soon after that meeting, she did shut down a potential romance with no beef towards the 20-year-old.

"I did not [hang up on him],” Meagan Good about the call, as it seemed for a brief moment that she hung up on NLE Choppa. “It got disconnected. My mom called and then I called back. He’s a lovely young man. I hate that so many people tried to drag him and make it seem like he was simping. No, he was very sweet, very very respectful. He’s just too young for me." Regardless of that caveat, she remarked how respectful and considerate Choppa acted, saying that she "did not play the hell out of him."

NLE Choppa's Response To Meagan Good

That honesty somewhat paid off, because NLE Choppa took to Twitter to respond to her assessment in a slightly cheeky pushback. "Baby you ain’t too old, I ain’t too young, we just right in Gods eyes," he tweeted. "Can we get a AMEN ? @MeaganGood." Just like that, he made light of the situation or, at the very least, showed his enthusiasm all the more clearly. Maybe we'll see the two meet up more platonically in the future, or maybe it will just be a fun moment to look back on.

Meanwhile, NLE Choppa just released his latest studio album Cottonwood 2. Over heavy Memphis-style production and features from the likes of Lil Wayne and Kevin Gates, the "Shotta Flow" MC is ready to make another splash. Given how relevant he's been in the headlines even without new music, it's nice to see him return to his craft with a bang.
