It seems like Lil Uzi Vert has been watching some old Odd Future videos recently and thought, "Why not?" Moreover, they uploaded a video to their social media of them eating a cockroach while out in Thailand. If you're wondering why Uzi is overseas, they will perform during Rolling Loud Thailand on Thursday (April 13), the festival's first iteration in the nation. Following a heap of headlining festival appearances, award show performances, and having one of the biggest songs of the past year, Uzi's winning big with audiences. What's more is that there's even more substantial and exciting music on the horizon that should be getting here sooner rather than later.
To elaborate, DJ Drama recently revealed that the Philly MC's upcoming album The Pink Tape is in its final stages. "It’s on the way,” the fellow Philly legend expressed while on Justin Credible's podcast. “The Pink Tape– [Lil Uzi Vert] and Cannon have been super hard at work. They’re in the process of pretty much finalizing the final sequencing and tracklisting of the project but it’s pretty much done. You’ll be surprised. You’re gonna get some of [Just Wanna Rock] as well as some other pockets."
How's The Cockroach, Lil Uzi Vert?
In addition, Uzi's antics extend far beyond what they're eating. Most recently, they got a tattoo that takes up their entire forehead, which is still pretty wild and taboo for many audiences. Still, the 27-year-old has much bigger fish to fry when it comes to their public image. Between their suggestive social media posts, lyrics, and more body art, they find themselves often fighting back at claims that they're a satanist. While Uzi denied these accusations, their eclectic and provocative style certainly doesn't make those arguments easy to retort.
Regardless, Uzi's on top of the world, and fans are more excited than ever to hear what's next on The Pink Tape. In fact, the "Sanguine Paradise" rapper might have even more to gift to fans this year in the form of a teased world tour. Even though Uzi wearing a shirt from the supposed tour's merch line is all we have to go by, that's hard evidence for hardcore fans. As such, hopefully the Generation Now artist backs up their long-form project return with a return to the stage. For more updates on that and the latest on Lil Uzi Vert, check back in with HNHH.
