Chevy Woods & Wiz Khalifa Rep Taylor Gang On "My "Sh*t"

A Chevy Woods project wouldn't be a Chevy Woods project without a collaboration with Wiz Khalifa. Chevy just shared his Exactly What They Want mixtape earlier this week, and while he handles the majority of the new effort, he did make room for a Wiz feature. "My Shit" is a highlight, and plays off the natural chemistry the two Taylor Gang members have established over the years. The hook is simple and catchy as hell, and the beat is hazy and minimal, while also making way for some serious sub bass. Wiz's verse is casually stylish but deceptively multi-syllabic. "I be low-key / I be chillin' / I be stackin' to the ceilings / I be ......... / I be runnin' up the millions / If you're waiting on me  / I got a very strange feeling / I got shooters / But I don't wanna have to call 'em nowhere near," he raps.

Way back in 2013, we spoke to Chevy Woods about his early days recording with Wiz. "We were just making music to listen to for ourselves, but he had a bigger picture than I thought it was gonna be." he said. "I just stood beside him and put aside what I had to do as a solo artist. The bigger picture was for what we're doing now."

In related Wiz news, the rapper just caused a minor controversy during a Pittsburgh Pirates game when he decided to mime smoking a joint before throwing the first pitch. While it may not seem like a big deal to anyone who knows anything about Wiz and what he stands for, the MLB released a statement denouncing the gesture. "Marijuana is [a prohibited] substance in all of our drug programs," it read. "It’s unfortunate this situation occurred. The Pirates have informed us that this should not have happened."
