It’s time for another round of updates, battle fans. Blackout 7 is goin’ down this weekend and N.O.M.E. 7 just went down as well, so it’s a big week. We’ve got battle releases from several different leagues here this time around. And some announcements have been made that will shake things up. 


T-Rex vs Rad B

What’s New In Battle Rap (April 15)

Rad B had some homefield advantage here in this U Dubb battle in Newark. This battle could have been released at a better time for Rex, as it came a few days after everyone said K-Shine beat him pretty badly.

Lev Corso vs Marv Won

What’s New In Battle Rap (April 15)

Beast Mode put on this battle with one of battle rap’s most well known vets going up against a smaller name in Lev Corso. Maybe Marv overlooked Lev, because by pretty much all accounts Marv got beat here.

Nu Jerzey Twork vs Qleen Paper

What’s New In Battle Rap (April 15)

This “Born Legacy 5” battle features Qleen Paper on the URL stage for the first time in a few years. This time he’s up against Nu Jerzey Twork, who has been making his name at the last few “Born Legacy” events.

Dunsh vs E. Farrell

What’s New In Battle Rap (April 15)

Dunsh and E. Farrell give a very impressive showing in this five round battle. With each round being 16 bars, the battle stays entertaining the whole time without any time disputes or rounds dragging on.

Big Kannon vs Craig Lamar

Rare Breed Entertainment had a great battle in what they described as their “bar battle”. Craig Lamar had a good performance, but Big Kannon consistently picked up steam leading to a crazy third round.

Dizaster Announced For Blackout 7

In the final announcement before the event, King of the Dot revealed that Dizaster is on the Blackout 7 card. Loved by many and hated by some, Dizaster’s presence always brings notoriety to an event.

What’s New In Battle Rap (April 15)

Leading up to their “Blackout 7” event, King of the Dot held a press conference in which league owner Organik answered a few questions, awards were given out, and most importantly, Rone and Head I.C.E. got to argue with one another before their title match.

Charron vs Aye Verb Cancelled

What’s New In Battle Rap (April 15)

Charron and Aye Verb were supposed to battle this weekend at “Blackout 7”, but according to King of the Dot’s Facebook, it “won't be happening tonight for due to a US Embassy situation that is far out of [their] control”.

Hollow Da Don Says He’s Writing For Tay Roc

What’s New In Battle Rap (April 15)

In an interview with Hiphopisreal.com, Hollow was discussing his process of rewriting lines often. He then went on to mention that he changed a line he was writing for Tay Roc after hearing Chess say a similar line. When asked if it’s official that he’s writing for Tay Roc, Hollow says yeah.

Bullpen vs Queen of the Ring

What’s New In Battle Rap (April 15)

John John Da Don’s Bullpen Battle League and Debo’s Queen of the Ring are coming together to go head to head with one another. On April 22nd in Atlanta, the two leagues will host “The Chival War”. A few of the battles on this card are Bad Newz vs E-Hart, PC vs 40 BARRS, and Syah vs Bonnie Godiva.
