The New York MC made fun of himself while also taking the chance to plug his friend Millyz's new album.

Dave East is an incredibly motivated MC, but that won't help you keep your balance on an electric scooter. Moreover, he just shared some hilarious clips of him falling twice from his ride, whether because he had a really fun night out or because he was just clumsy. One of the clips actually came from his mother's doorbell camera, and he captioned his posts with jokes at himself and to plug his friend Millyz's recently released album Blanco 6. What's more is that he at least had friends around him to help- and to make fun of him in the process.

"This Nut A** Scooter I Bust My A** And Thought I Died Last Night," the Wu-Tang series actor wrote. "Worst Pain Of All Time My Mom Sent Me This Im CTFU. My Freak a** Driver Gone Ask me If Im Good was Wrong Wit Em Nut S**t. #Blanco6DropMidnight." Furthermore, that caption landed on the doorbell camera clip, but it didn't stop there. "Last Night Wasn't My Night But @millyz Blanco 6 At Midnight Ju Heard," he captioned another clip. "F**k This Scooter This Ain't My Bop. And @leslierosales For Filming This." Of course, each caption came with a slew of crying-laughing emojis.

Dave East Versus His Scooter: The Score Is 0-1

However, it seems like East was already injured before these falls, which is the whole reason he had to ride around in the scooter in the first place. As such, we wish him a speedy recovery and hope this didn't exacerbate any existing pain. Still, the 34-year-old has a lot more to look forward to on the horizon beyond his injuries. For example, he recently reflected on how J. Cole's advice helped him craft his next album.

"I got a chance to lock in with J. Cole, just me and him in the studio with the engineer,” he remarked to Ebro back in 2021. “And he asked that same question, like, ‘Bro, I’m a fan of what you do, I really respect your pen, but you rap with one tone.’ And I really sat and listened to myself, and a lot of my s**t is one tone. Me and him in the studio testing tones. He’s just really seeing how high I can take my voice, how low I can take it, and then he just was like, ‘Apply that to your music. Watch the difference.’" For the latest greatness (hopefully not involving a fall) from Dave East, check back in with HNHH.

Gabriel Bras Nevares is a music and pop culture news writer for HotNewHipHop. He started in 2022 as a weekend writer and, since joining the team full-time, has developed a strong knowledge in hip-hop news and releases. Whether it’s regular coverage or occasional interviews and album reviews, he continues to search for the most relevant news for his audience and find the best new releases in the genre. What excites him the most is finding pop culture stories of interest, as well as a deeper passion for the art form of hip-hop and its contemporary output. Specifically, Gabriel enjoys the fringes of rap music: the experimental, boundary-pushing, and raw alternatives to the mainstream sound. As a proud native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, he also stays up-to-date with the archipelago’s local scene and its biggest musical exponents in reggaetón, salsa, indie, and beyond. Before working at HotNewHipHop, Gabriel produced multiple short documentaries, artist interviews, venue spotlights, and audio podcasts on a variety of genres and musical figures. Hardcore punk and Go-go music defined much of his coverage during his time at the George Washington University in D.C. His favorite hip-hop artists working today are Tyler, The Creator, Boldy James, JPEGMAFIA, and Earl Sweatshirt.
