Michael Jordans 98 Finals sneakers hit record bid.

Michael Jordan's legacy seems to be on a pedestal above the rest. It seems as if everything attached to the Jordan name simply becomes iconic. This could be a reason why the Jordan Brand sneaker and clothing have become must-haves. Jordan's playing career will forever be intertwined with his clothing and shoe brand. Following the recent release of the movie "Air" Jordan's sneakers are now becoming a topic among fans. However, for one fan, a pair of Jordan's game-worn shoes are worth everything.

Max Molski of NBC Sports Chicago reported that a pair of Jordan's 1998 Finals sneakers are going for a record number. The alleged bid was made for $1.8 million. The bid is just an unbelievable amount of cash for anything. Let alone a pair of sneakers. However, this bid doesn't sit alone at the top for the highest bid on sneakers. The bid for Jordan's shoes ties the highest bid for a pair of sneakers with the 2008 prototype of "Nike Air Yeezy" that was worn by Kanye West.

The highly sought-after sneakers would be the "Jordan XIII." The shoes were worn by Jordan in his final NBA Finals appearance. The Chicago Bulls legend helped deliver six champions to the organization. His final two championships came at the demise of the Utah Jazz. Hall-of-Famers Karl Malone and John Stocken brutally lost back-to-back final appearances to Jordan and his Bulls. Meanwhile, the shoes Jordan wore in the final series will forever live in infamy.

Above all, Michael Jordan will forever be the most iconic North American athlete. His contributions to the sport of basketball on and off the court are too many to count. His Airness can now add another legend to the endless amount of stories about the Bulls star. Just how much would you spend on a pair of Jordan's game-worn sneakers?
