In what might be one of the most unexpected moves ever, reality star mogul Blac Chyna is reinventing herself from her fingertips to her very soul. The abrupt transformation began last May when Chyna celebrated her 34th birthday by getting baptized in a small, private ceremony. Subsequently, she embarked on a series of drastic changes that she calls her "healing journey." She has decided that anything not in line with her relationship with God or her role as a mother must go.
Equally known for her bodacious body and bad-girl antics, Chyna has two famous exes—Rob Kardashian and Tyga, fathers to her children Dream and King Cairo, respectively. She is no stranger to controversy and beefs. However, it is her recent changes that have been causing the most considerable stir of her career to date. Following her baptism, Chyna adopted a complete lifestyle and image overhaul, getting clean and sober.
Further, she deleted her lucrative OnlyFans page, which reportedly netted between $2 million and $240 million. She stated that it contradicted her newfound faith and admitted on The Jason Lee Show that she had found it "degrading." To create a healthier income stream, she launched a luxury hair care line called Hearts Pure. Additionally, she snagged feature roles on BET's The Black Hamptons and Prime Video's Secret Society 2. Chyna also reverted to using her given name, Angela White, to return to herself.
Blac Chyna's New Look, With A Real Name
White's transformation seems legitimate, as she has openly tweeted about her "healing journey." She invites her online fans to join her by documenting it all. Chyna's radical physical changes include breast reduction, removal of breast implants, and eliminating silicone from buttock injections. White also had fillers in her cheeks and jawline dissolved, saying, "Enough is enough. It all has to come out."
Most recently, White visited Las Vegas to remove a large tattoo of the deity Baphomet from her backside. Although Baphomet is associated with Satanism, White claims the tattoo initially held a different meaning. After her baptism, she knew it had to come off. In a related Instagram post, White stated she was "releasing all negative energy" holding her back.
As impressive as all of this is, her critics aren't convinced. Haters point to her history of legal issues and lawsuits with the Kardashians, including a $108 million lawsuit against the family. Commenters accuse White of scamming and rebranding herself in a desperate attempt to rebrand. It's further reported that insiders close to the Kardashians even accuse her of copying Kim K, who is allegedly downsizing her plastic.
Critics Don't Believe The Hype
Additionally, White posted in January that she was now a Doctor of Liberal Arts, signing off as "Dr. Angele Renee White." In the post, White says that she received her degree from the Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College. However, the post misspells the degree as Doctorate in "Liberate" Arts instead of Liberal, which is correct. Many people, including Raqi Thunda, radio host and former Love & Hip Hop star, called her out. Raqi speculated she bought the degree and roasted her over the error.
Interestingly, in March, White sat down with the Why The Game Chose Me podcast crew, sporting a black and white Dolce & Gabbana t-shirt with a photo of Kim Kardashian on it. Host Diamond jumped right into why, asking, “What inspired you to wear that shirt?” White sweetly replied, “Oh this? Well, I love Dolce & Gabbana,” and said that she wore the shirt because she “wanted to support Kim." Chyna added, "Yeah, she did a collaboration with Dolce, and I respect it.” White went on to say, “And it’s Dream‘s auntie.” Ultimately, she finished up by saying she thought the shirt was cool and that “one day, I wanna…” before trailing off.
Angela White Seems Sincere
Following the podcast, speculations were all over the place. Supporters cited White's support of Kim as yet more evidence that her change is sincere. Meanwhile, critics rolled their eyes and scoffed. Rumors have circulated stating the Kardashian-Jenners believe it is all for show, considering that White lost her lawsuit against the family less than a year before.
Meanwhile, White remains adamant, asserting that these changes stem from an internal evolution driven by her faith and role as a mother. White and sources close to her say all hate is just cap. She states in her Insta doc, "I want to grow old with my kids, and I'm just ready to get back to Angela." While the drama plays out like a tennis match, all we can do is watch and wait. One thing is certain: the truth will definitely be revealed in the end.
