When it comes to hybrid sneakers, Jordan Brand knows what it is doing, and that is true of the Air Jordan 2/3. As you can imagine from the name, this shoe features a mixture of the Air Jordan 2 and the Air Jordan 3. Overall, these are some iconic basketball shoes from the 1980s. Firstly, the Air Jordan 2 dropped in 1986. Secondly, the Jordan 3, which is more popular, came out all the way back in 1988. These kicks are perfect in their own right, so it is surprising that Jumpman would want to combine them. However, that is exactly what they have done.
When you think of these two silhouettes, you think of some pretty incredible colorways. However, the colorways from these two models are very unique. That said, it is a surprise that Jumpman would want to merge these aesthetics. However, they are going through with it, and we are happy about it. Thanks to the sneaker insider and leaker @zsneakerheadz, we actually have some new information on the Air Jordan 2/3. As you can imagine, this shoe is actually going to be a "Chicago" colorway.
"Chicago" Air Jordan 2/3
The Chicago Bulls are the team that opened their hearts and arms to Michael Jordan all of those years ago. Overall, he won six NBA titles with them, which is truly massive. Now, the shoe is coming to this unique Air Jordan 2/3 merger. Firstly, the sneaker is going to be covered in white leather. Secondly, there is some nice burgundy on the top portion, as well as the back heel. Lastly, the midsole is going to be a mixture of pink and burgundy. When you put all of this together, you get a very unique offering that fans will definitely enjoy.
As for the release date, nothing is actually known at this point. Instead, we will be getting more information over the coming months. If one thing is certain, however, the shoe will be here as of 2024. As always, let us know what you think of these, down in the comments below.
