Generally, books of Christmas carols don't need to come with a parental advisory warning, but a Sri Lankan collection titled Joy To The World 2016 seems to be the exception. According to tweets from users who claim to have copies of this year's edition of singalongs, the iconic Don Killuminati track is printed in its entirety alongside more traditional holiday songs. While there's no real explanation so far, Complex suggests that it could have been a simple mix-up between "Hail Mary" and "The Hail Mary Prayer," otherwise known as "Ave Maria." If that's the case, the lyrics were seriously overlooked, as we can't imagine "I ain't a killer, but don't push me / Revenge is like the sweetest joy next to gettin' pussy," not raising a red flag.
The Joy To The World festival is said to be part of the Sri Lanka's largest caroling service, so, unless it was somehow intentional, this is a pretty big mistake. No word on whether the attendees of the festival actually took part in a rendition of the classic track, but we kind of hope they did.
