Kevin Durant opens up about chemistry with one of his newest teammates.

Kevin Durant is still looking for his rhythm with the Phoenix Suns. Durant missed some time with his new team due to a freak incident in warm-ups. The injury Durant sustained caused him to miss action. In missing action, Durant has been playing catch up in gaining chemistry with his teammates on the floor. While chemistry will only come in time, Durant spoke on his chemistry with Suns big man DeAndre Ayton.

When speaking about his chemistry with Ayton, Durant mentioned growth. "There's definitely more room to grow," Durant answered to the media after the Suns victory over the Thunder on Sunday. The Suns have been looking the part of a Western Conference favorite as the playoffs are fastly approaching. The Suns have won their last five and with four games remaining, are in a prime position to be the fourth seed in the West.

Kevin Durant Believes In DeAndre Ayton

Since his arrival in Phoenix, all eyes have been on Durant and the Suns. A team that is only a few years removed from competing in the Finals without Durant. The Suns were runners-up in 2021 to the Milwaukee Bucks. The 2021 series went six games, culminating with the Bucks taking the crown on their home court. The Suns expected another trip to the Finals in 2022 but were upset by the Mavs in the Western semi-finals. After the tough 2022 loss, the Suns went back to the drawing board and have come out stronger in 2023.

Team chemistry is vital to any team's success. Any championship team will admit to having great chemistry. There isn't a lot of time for the Suns to grab that bond on the court. The trust will have to come in this last week of the season. However, the Suns are a talented enough team to reach the pinnacle and earn the chemistry they want to achieve. Do you believe team chemistry will be the downfall of the 2023 Suns? If they can earn that trust on the court, will the Suns win it all? Sound off in the comment section below with your thoughts on the Suns' team chemistry. For more on the latest news inside the NBA, keep it here with HNHH.
