Two people died and five others were injured after a shooting at Yo Gotti's restaurant Prive in Memphis

A shooting at a Memphis restaurant owned by Yo Gotti became a crime scene last night after a mass shooting left two people dead. According to TMZ and Fox News, police arrived at Memphis restaurant Prive at 11:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire erupting in the parking lot. Police said that an altercation took place inside Yo Gotti’s restaurant and eventually, spilled outside where the lethal shooting took place and left multiple casualties.

The reports say police found one man dead in the parking lot once they arrived at the scene. A second person passed away after they arrived at the hospital. However, the police also reported that four men and a woman were also shot at Yo Gotti’s establishment before they were taken to the hospital. The conditions of the five victims haven’t been disclosed yet. At this point, it’s unclear what prompted the shooting, though police are seeking information from anyone with knowledge of the situation.

Assailants At Large Following Shooting At Yo Gotti’s Restaurant

None of the victims of the shooting were members of Yo Gotti’s family, nor was he in the city when the incident took place. Police are still looking into all information surrounding the shooting, especially as they try to pinpoint what triggered the altercation. For now, they’re still looking for the perpetrators, who they said fled the scene immediately after the shooting. Yo Gotti’s restaurant appears to be shut down for now as new photos emerged of crime tape surrounding the establishment, which you can see above.

Unfortunately, police aren’t strangers to patrolling Prive. The restaurant was forced to shut down temporarily in 2021 following the death of Young Dolph as city officials and authorities felt as though the Yo Gotti-owned restaurant could be the site of retaliation. Police patrolled Prive after Dolph was shot to death 10 miles away from the restaurant. Thankfully, nothing occurred and the restaurant remained unscathed. HNHH is keeping our prayers with all of the victims and their families during this time. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates surrounding the shooting and if Yo Gotti issues a response on the matter.
