Amid cigars, lobster, and expensive watches, the "GOD DID" collaborators flexed opulence on the Gram.

Jay-Z recently stopped by DJ Khaled's house to enjoy some drinks, cigars, and lavish food for a "lunch meeting." Moreover, Roc Nation's Vice President Lenny S. captured the images, or at the very least posted them onto his Instagram account @kodaklens. "Lunch Meeting at Khaleds!," the music and business executive wrote. "My brothers watch game is unparalleled. Don’t even attempt to compete, please. Tell them @alextodd !" Overall, it was enough to get people salivating for some lobster from behind their screens. Amid a lot of success and partnerships, the "GOD DID" collaborators seemed to have a great time.

Of course, both have much to celebrate. On Hov's end, his net worth reached $2.5 billion according to a recent Forbes report. From all of his business sales, partnerships, and wealth of ventures, it's hardly surprising but no less impressive. In fact, one thing he doesn't get enough credit for is the amount of billionaires he helped create, which he actually raps about on "GOD DID." As such, the extent of his success goes far beyond his own, creating roadmaps and opportunities for many others to succeed.

Jay-Z & DJ Khaled Live Large During Lunch Meeting

Meanwhile, the We The Best Music mogul announced an extensive partnership with Def Jam Records in February of this year. Such a move will likely see the producer and executive more into even more areas of pop culture, whether it's film, business, or bringing more artists and industry people into his fold. From what he expressed during a press conference, he seems very excited to venture into all areas of creation. Given that his albums are guest-heavy and often create significant commercial or viral moments for them, such a spirit is also no surprise, and no small feat to accomplish.

Both artists recently closed out this year's Grammys with a rendition of their track, alongside fellow collaborators Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Fridayy, and John Legend. Not only that, but the setting was a food-filled table that represents the opulence that even an Instagram post can convey as well. It's fair to say that neither is slowing down anytime soon. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Gabriel treasures the crossover between his native reggaetón and hip-hop news coverage, such as his review for Bad Bunny’s hometown concert in 2024. But more specifically, he digs for the deeper side of hip-hop conversations, whether that’s the “death” of the genre in 2023, the lyrical and parasocial intricacies of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle, or the many moving parts of the Young Thug and YSL RICO case. Beyond engaging and breaking news coverage, Gabriel makes the most out of his concert obsessions, reviewing and recapping festivals like Rolling Loud Miami and Camp Flog Gnaw. He’s also developed a strong editorial voice through album reviews, think-pieces, and interviews with some of the genre’s brightest upstarts and most enduring obscured gems like Homeboy Sandman, Bktherula, Bas, and Devin Malik.
