A lot of the headlines after last night's McDonald's All-American Game went to Bronny James Jr. Which is understandable, given the nature of who he is. However, if you're looking for other stars at the event, look no further than DJ Wagner. Wagner dazzled fans of the event, scoring all 19 of his points in the second half. The Top-5 recruit's performance led him to earn the MVP award of the game, along with helping seal the victory for the East.
However, it isn't just the game that is helping Wagner gain attention in social media circles. NIL has been nothing but positive since its inception. Some may have you believe that there needs to be a stopping point to it. This is why my response is maybe the NCAA should slow down on how much they make. That's something that won't be happening any time soon. Since the NIL train is still going strong, kids like Wagner can ride to school in style. Well, maybe not everyone can get this sweet of a hookup.
DJ Wagner Is The Coolest Kid On Campus
Thanks to his friends at LexExotics, Wagner can now cruise around Lexington in his brand-new Rolls Royce. An incredible partnership for a kid looking to make a name for himself. Wagner will join an all-star cast at Kentucky, as the Wildcats have signed four of the Top-10 recruits in the 2023 class. Kentucky also lays claim to the top class in the nation, with a fifth signing being the 30th-best player in the country. NIL deals will not be in short supply for these future Wildcats.
How anyone can see a downside to NIL is beyond comprehension. Kids are finally getting to live the life they always dreamed of and helping families along the way. NIL isn't just fancy cars. Many stories of NIL involve helping others, which is something I have no doubt that Wagner will be a part of. What's your opinion on NIL? Good? Bad? Tell us how you feel in the comment section below.
