Ja Morant is a funny guy.

Ja Morant made his grand return to the NBA this past week. Overall, he has been excellent since his suspension. While some were worried that his off-court antics would prove to be a distraction, it appears the opposite. For instance, just a couple of nights ago, Morant dropped an impressive 27 points against the Hawks. Moreover, he helped his team win the game, cementing the Grizzlies as a second seed in the Western Conference. Furthermore, the team is just three games out of first place, which is truly impressive given everything that went down only three weeks ago.

If you have watched Grizzlies games, you know that whenever the team wins, Morant says the NBA YoungBoy lyric, "It's a parade inside my city, yeah." Morant echoed this phrase during his first game back on the Grizzlies' sideline. This subsequently led to a segment on Undisputed in which Skip Bayless mimicked the saying, but in a goofy cadence. From there, the clip went viral and the Grizzlies have been embracing the meme. In fact, even Ja is self-aware of the whole situation.

Ja Morant Sees Everything

In the video up above, Morant enters the Grizzlies' tunnel after a game and immediately says his signature phrase. However, he made sure to say it exactly as Skip would. It was a pretty hilarious moment that had the internet in an uproar. As for Bayless himself, he really has no choice but to tip his cap to Morant. After all, the Grizzlies superstar is playing great basketball and it feels like he cannot be stopped. Hopefully, Bayless realizes that these lyrics are not bad at all and that Ja has turned the corner on his past behavior.

As for the Grizzlies, they have an opportunity to make something happen in the postseason. They are staring down a rematch with the Minnesota Timberwolves, which could subsequently lead to a rematch with the Golden State Warriors. Although, this team is more mature than they were last year and it will be interesting to see how they respond. They have a young core, and this postseason could very well prove to be their coming-out party. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world.
