Gym staff rushed the rapper to safety after he was brutally assaulted in the sauna.

Things could’ve gotten worse for Tekashi 6ix9ine if not for the staff at LA Fitness in Florida. According to TMZ, staff members quickly rushed 6ix9ine to a private room after he was brutally assaulted inside the sauna. The publication states that they locked Tekashi in a room before authorities arrived. 6ix9ine reportedly frequents the LA Fitness in Lake Worth regularly without any issues. Staff said that if he’s ever approached, he’s open to taking pictures and is incredibly kind to everyone. The rapper’s workout routine usually consists of 20 minutes on the Stairmaster before he leaves.

The footage shows 6ix9ine protecting his face as he got kicked and punched. Afterward, the rapper appears to have blood and cuts covering his face. His attorney, Lance Lazzaro, said that he suffered cuts to his face, and injuries to his back, ribs, and jaw. “He was attacked in a Sauna at a gym by three or four thugs who beat him up (he tried fighting back), he said. “Employees heard the disturbance and the perpetrators fled. The injuries weren’t life-threatening and 6ix9ine is recovering, Lazzaro said to CBS.

Ultimately, it seems as though 6ix9ine didn’t provoke the attack by any means. On Wednesday evening, surveillance footage from the gym captured the alleged attackers entering the facilities. However, their identities still aren’t clear. The video shows one of the men suspected of attacking Tekashi 6ix9ine walk into the gym’s front desk to allow another man in. Then, a third individual joined them before they walked to the gym’s sauna area where they attacked Tekashi 6ix9ine on camera.

Police in South Florida were called and he was transported via ambulance to a local hospital.” At this point, the motive behind the attack is still unclear. While the footage shows the men entering the gym, there’s no sign indicating whether or not they planned the attack. Of course, many believe that the attack could’ve been related to snitching, though there’s nothing suggesting that there was any connection to his RICO case. We’ll keep you posted on anymore updates.
