Fat Joe has always been a New York Knicks fan. Whenever there is a Knicks game in town, you can expect Fat Joe to be there. However, as a fan of the Knicks, he understands what it is like to have a broken heart. The Knicks are not exactly a beacon of success these days. Although, they are trying to change those fortunes. They have one of the hottest teams in the entire NBA, and New Yorkers are actually looking forward to the postseason. That said, there are others who are still preparing for the worst.
Overall, this Knicks' success has created a conundrum for some fans. This is because a lot of New Yorkers abandoned the Knicks for the Brooklyn Nets. Of course, this was because of the addition of KD and Kyrie. Now, however, both of those men are gone and the Knicks are the better New York team. As Fat Joe explained in a recent social media stream, some Nets fans are trying to migrate back to the Knicks. The legendary artist is not having any of this, however, as he told those fickle fans to stay in their lane.

All of a sudden, I’m driving around New York, and I’m seeing Knick jackets, Knick hats, they coming up to me, ‘Yeah, brother, let’s go Knicks!’ No, you is Brooklyn. You know how you on Instagram and get them fake little ads now, ‘Yo Brooklyn Nets fans?’ My, how the tables have turned!”
Overall, the artist makes a great point. These days, there are too many fake fans who like to change their allegiances. Real fans suffer through the pain of their team's losses. If you're just going to switch teams based on who is winning, well, your values are in the gutter. Either way, it is nice to see the Knicks doing something right for once.
