Digital Domain Media Group circulated the news this year when they created the now infamous Tupac hologram for the 2012 Coachella music festival.
The Tupac hologram surprised many and was much talked about for awhile after the performance, keeping DDMG in the news. However, it seems this wasn't enough to keep the Media Group afloat, as they have had to file for bankruptcy on Tuesday.
CNN Money reports that DDMG revealed in a press release that it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection from its creditors. The group had only gone public in November. The 20-year-old company had already warned of financial problems thus this did not come as a surprise.
Does this mean there is no chance of a Tupac hologram going on tour? We'll have to wait and see if another company makes an attempt at the hologram business.
