Former child star Lindsay Lohan has been gracing our screens since the late '90s when she captured the world's attention by playing both Hallie Parker and Annie James in the cheeky childhood favourite, The Parent Trap. The years following that saw her fanbase continue to grow thanks to releases like Get a Clue, Freaky Friday, and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. In 2004, it was the lead role in Tina Fey's Mean Girls that truly helped push her toward stardom.
Playing Cady Heron is probably what she's best known for, though the 36-year-old has a slew of other impressive credits on her resume. She was off to a strong start at a young age, but Lohan ultimately fell into struggles with substance abuse and mental health that led her to step out of the spotlight for some time. She recently resurfaced as the narrator of Amazon Prime Video's Lovestruck High, and as the lead in Netflix's Falling for Christmas, but that's not all she's delivering.
Lindsay Lohan's First Baby OTW
On Tuesday (March 14), the New York native shared a simple and sweet announcement via Instagram unveiling her first pregnancy. "We are blessed and excited! ππ€πΆπΌ" she wrote in the caption, showing off a small white onesie reading "Coming soon..." in the accompanying image. The news comes less than a year after Lohan married 36-year-old Bader Shammas, a financier who proposed to her back in 2021. While the couple is obviously excited, TMZ reports that plenty of the starlet's long-time friends (and sometimes enemies) are happy for her too.
The outlet caught up with Paris and Nicky Hilton leaving CBS Studios in NYC, where they sent greetings to the expecting couple on camera. LiLo's ex, Sam Ronson, also spoke with the gossip blog about today's news, and she had nothing but positive things to say. "I wish her all the best. It's always great news when someone is expecting a baby," the English DJ declared.
