Larsa Pippen & Marcus Jordan Embrace In New IG Post

Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan posed together for a new selfie on social media over the weekend. The two have been Instagram official since January. One point of contention about their relationship has been their age gap, with Pippen being 16 years older than Jordan. Prior to their romance, Larsa was married to Scottie Pippen, a former teammate of Marcus' father, Michael Jordan.

When The Shade Room shared the selfie on its Instagram page, many fans defended the couple in the comments section. "Y’all keep acting outraged about the age difference but don’t keep that same energy with Cher dating a man 40yrs younger," one user wrote. Another added: “'WhAt iF tHiS wAs tHe OtHeR wAy aRoUnD?!' Michael Jordan’s wife is 20 years younger than him. Go be outraged on his page no one’s stopping y’all."

Larsa has downplayed the age difference when asked about it in interviews. Speaking with Tamron Hall, last month, Larsa remarked, “Age doesn’t determine your level of maturity." When pressed on whether it's weird dating the son of her ex-husband's former teammate, Larsa explained, "I didn't plan it like that. We were just together a lot with our friends. You gotta remember — being with an athlete, you get scrutinized a lot. People don't think you should have a life once you get divorced. I feel like I should have love and be able to date who I want and live happy and go wherever I wanna go and not be judged every time I'm seen with someone. It's hard."

Larsa and Scottie were married from 1997 through 2021 and share four children together: Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin, and Sophia. They first split up in 2016 but later reconciled soon afterward. Two years later they began the official separation process and have since moved on from one another. As for Scottie's opinion on her dating Marcus, Larsa also told Tamron Hall, “The only conversations we have are based on our kids. I don’t ask him who he’s dating, he doesn’t ask me who I’m dating."
