Denzel Curry has rereleased his 2015 EP 32 Zel with a new remix. The project, which was originally released alongside Curry's Planet Shrooms EP, now features a Juicy J verse on the fan favorite "Ultimate." A huge fan of the late Lord Infamous and Three 6 mafia in general, having Juicy J guest on the song is surely an honor with Denzel, and the perpetually relevant Memphis rapper sounds right at home over the dark textures. "I am the Juice from the Mafia 6," he opens his verse, looking back at his career and how far he's come since the days of releasing lo-fi cassette recordings.
Denzel has announced plans to rerelease Planet Shrooms as well, though it's not clear when that will arrive and whether or not it will contain any remixed tracks. The Florida rapper released his 13 EP in June. He has plans to release his next album Taboo in the near future. In April, he updated fans on the progress. "To all my supporters, i'm excited to tell you that the next album is getting closer to what it suppose to sound like," he said. "However it will take some time for me to complete it because I want to make my message is clear as day. In the meantime I will be releasing music as soon as I can...my only request is to stay in tuned to what's going on."
Meanwhile, Juicy just released his Highly Intoxicated mixtape, which found him embracing the younger generation. $UICIDEBOY$ provide production on the album, while XXXTentacion and Cardi B make guest appearances. Read our review of the project here.
