A man passed himself as Sisqo making fools of fashionistas at New York Fashion Week.

New York Fashion Week attracted some big name in rap music including Desiigner, Migos and Young Thug. So, fashionistas were caught by surprise when a Sisqo imposter sat front row at Philipp Plein's and Vivienne Tam's shows.

Sporting a Versace suit, chunky jewelry and shades, he even attended Kanye West's show with an "assistant." The New York Post reports that fashion aficionados were in awe listening to the fake Sisqo, who said he had performed at celebrity joint Up&Down until 5 a.m. this week.

His tale unraveled when he tried boarding a wealthy New Yorker’s private jet to the Caribbean. When he gave his passport details for the flight, they revealed his identity as Gavin Barnes, born in 1986. He would have been in junior high when Sisqo's hit "Thong Song" came out in 2000.

“I never said I was Sisqó. People thought I was him, and that wasn’t cool,” the imposter told the NY Post over the phone. He also denied his last name was Barnes.
