The Minnesota Timberwolves officially unveiled their new logo last night, the first step of their rebrand which will include a new set of uniforms for Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and co.
The Wolves debuted the new look during Tuesday night's game against the Thunder, showcasing a more life-like wolf than some of their previous designs.
Rodney Richardson, the man behind the Wolves rebrand, spoke about his inspiration for the new logo.
"They kept saying it was too over the top," said Rodney Richardson, owner of Mississippi-based RARE Design. "It didn't represent the area, or who they are as people."
"People were ready for something more aggressive," Richardson added.
The Minnesota Timberwolves will also be unveiling a new court design and a renovated arena in addition to the new logo and jerseys to be worn next season.
