After many delays, SZA's official debut album CTRL was released on Friday. Hits Daily Double has now reported their projections for the album's first week. According to the source, SZA is expected to move between 35,000 and 45,000 units first week, with 17,000 to 20,000 of that figure being sold traditionally. SZA's previous commercial release Z debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard 200 in 2014.
The biggest seller of the week is expected to be Katy Perry's fifth studio album Witness, which is projected to move between 200,000 and 225,000 units, with 175,000 to 200,000 of that figure coming through traditionally. The projections fall short of Perry's 2013 release Prism, which hit 286,000 units first week in 2013.
The official first week sales numbers will be released by Billboard next week.
