In wake of yesterday (February 26) evening's SAG Awards, many are still talking about the best – and worst – parts of the ceremony. Of course, there's the usual discussion of who should've won, and this year's red carpet looks were nothing short of enchanting. Zendaya followed her two vintage gowns at Saturday's NAACP Image Awards with another set of incredible dresses on Sunday, and many of the men in attendance were notably looking sharp as well.
Among the males who made our best-dressed roundup this year are The Whale actor, Brendan Fraser, and Spider-Man himself, Andrew Garfield. As for the women, it was Angela Bassett, Jennifer Coolidge, and Jenna Ortega who all caught our eye with their looks. Unfortunately, Aubrey Plaza's Michael Kors gown didn't go over as well with everyone.
Even Winners Have Wardrobe Malfunctions
The 38-year-old was attending the show with several of her castmates from The White Lotus. While they were all on stage accepting an ensemble SAG award for their fantastic performance, Plaza was caught on camera looking less than pleased, even mouthing some obscenities. The footage has since been making rounds online, and thanks to a new report from DailyMail, there's an explanation for all of the drama as well.
According to an insider, the Delaware native's anger was a "direct result of her almost being elbowed in her face" while she and other female cast members were shuffled to the back of the group. Seeing few women have the opportunity to speak was just one source of frustration for Plaza. The other apparently came when actor Jon Gries made note that her "boob was hanging out" of her gown.
Jenna Ortega Saves the Day
She may not be as friendly to The White Lotus cast after last night, but on the bright side, Plaza made a new friend at the SAG Awards. At one point in the evening, she joined Wednesday actress Jenna Ortega on stage to hand out a prize, during which viewers realized how incredible their on-screen chemistry is. In the hours since Twitter has been blowing up with requests to see the two dark-haired entertainers appear in a project together.
"Aubrey Plaza and Jenna Ortega need a horror thriller together," one user pleaded. Plaza has made it clear that she's game if the Netflix starlet is, saying, "I'm down.
