Anti-Trump protests are a dime a dozen these days, but Spike is wearing his protests on his feet. The legendary director posted a photo to Instagram of him holding up a pair of Black History Month Air Jordan 1s with the words “REPEL AGENT ORANGE” and “RESIST” written across the shoes.
Spike Lee has always been politically outspoken, previously protesting the Oscars and joining the rest of hip hop in shading Chrisette Michele for performing at Trump’s presidential inauguration. The words on his sneakers reference A Tribe Called Quest, Anderson .Paak and Busta Rhymes’ “Agent Orange” nickname for Trump.
