10 years after the untimely passing of Left Eye, the remaining members of TLC are planning a new album along with a tour and biopic.

One of the most successful R&B groups of the 90s, TLC was derailed when Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez tragically died in a car crash.  Now, 10 years since their latest release, the surviving members of the group say that a comeback album is in the works, along with a biopic depicting their lives.

While at the Mobo Awards in Liverpool, England, T-Boz and Chilli announced that they are in the early stages of getting in the studio and recording an album, their first since 2002’s 3D, which was released six months after Left Eye passed away.  Speaking with Rollingstone, T-Boz says she isn’t worried about the girls fitting in with today’s R&B/Pop landscape, “We're going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time...We've always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That's what works for us and we don't have to worry about anybody else."

In addition to the album, TLC are planning to tour and also have a biopic in the works with VH1, which T-Boz and Chilli will executive produce.  Currently, they are still casting actresses to play the group in the film.  Earlier there were even rumors that they would use a Left Eye hologram, borrowing the idea from the 2Pac hologram that caught everyone’s eyes at this year’s Coachella.
