In the bounty of hip-hop music reaction channels that exist on Youtube, there is one that stands above the rest, delivering the most entertaining and the highest quality first reactions on the internet. Of course it’s BIGQUINT INDEED, the man best known for breaking his furniture and sweating profusely while grooving out to the latests albums and singles. You’ve most likely seen a screenshot or two of him thrown around on twitter, often in replies to announcements within the industry. He’s quickly become one of the main faces associated with hip-hop hype and will hopefully stick around well into the future.
Quint’s first reaction videos are guaranteed to make you smile thanks to his genuine nature, spontaneous dancing and the often tear-jerking food breaks he takes in the middle of his longer reactions, usually involving a pop culture or political-geared skit. He aims to please, and he’s pleased us so much that we’ve put together a list of the best of BigQuint, including highlights so you can skip right to the best parts.

The Life of Pablo First Reaction
The Life of Pablo First Reaction
Highlights: The beat drop on "Father Stretch My Hands Pt.1" [4:25], Desiigner hops on "Father Stretch My Hands Pt.2" [5:28], Frank’s track [16:29], Grooving to "Fade" [18:56]
Note to artists: when you don’t reveal the feature credits on your album beforehand, you’re prone to getting more innocent-but-extremely-excited reactions like this. Quint embodies what we all felt when hearing TLOP, from the surprise features to the young Metro drop. And when he hears Frank Ocean sing for the first time in years, Quint practically starts crying.
Coloring Book First Reaction
Coloring Book First Reaction
Highlights: Monologue on Acid Rap [0:17], No Problems [3:17], Jay Electronica resurfaces [15:48]
Never has Quint been happier listening to an album. After mistakenly listening to Acid Rap in the car a few years ago and failing to record a first reaction, Quint was ready to finally take on Chance the Rapper with his Coloring Book mixtape. He’s all smiles throughout the entire video - until he hears Jay Elect’s verse and realizes he’s probably still not going to put out a project. “Where’s the fucking album man??”
"Humble" First Reaction
Highlights: Please do yourself a favor and watch the whole 2 minutes and 54 seconds of pure Quint ecstasy.
King Kendrick made a sudden return with a new song and music video prior to the release of DAMN., with the unapologetic “Humble.” Quint, in a fit of unparalleled excitement, ends up breaking his new chair within the first verse. Funny enough Top Dawg Entertainment actually used this reaction to continue to promote “Humble” on Twitter, postings gifs and asking their followers if “DNA” would make him break something else on the day of DAMN.’s release.
"Back To Back" First Reaction
Highlights: Impersonating Drake to describe "Charged Up" [0:45], The verse that killed Meek Mill [2:31], savemeekmill.com [3:52]
After Drake dropped the first Meek Mill diss “Charged Up,” Quint wasn’t really feeling it. He poked fun at Drake for not really biting - but then he hears “Back To Back” and he’s instantly on Drake’s side of the beef. He’s replaying the “twitter fingers” verse, looking at Meek Mill memes, and delivering the most contagious laugh in existence by the end of this reaction video.
More Life First Reaction
More Life First Reaction
Highlights: The Chair Saga begins [0:00], "Gyalchester" [8:09], "Teenage Fever" makes Quint “break in” his old chair [14:27]
Quint gets very...comfortable on camera thanks to Drake in this first reaction. In what we’ll call the beginning of the “Chair Saga,” Quint finally gets a brand new chair. His fans know all too well that Quint’s computer chairs can take a serious beating, and this video sees one chair thrown in a dumpster and the other *ahem* “broken in” during “Teenage Fever.”
DAMN. First Reaction
DAMN. First Reaction
Highlights: Repairing damages from the "Humble" First Reaction [0:17], Addressing Kendrick haters [1:10], "DNA" (and Quint breaks his chair again) [3:00], The beat kicks in on "Element" [5:20], The Chair Saga continues [8:06], Quint drags Ben Carson [11:04], "XXX" takes Quint on a ride [15:19]
THIS is the quintessential BigQuint first reaction. You’ve got continuity of the Chair Saga, an extremely hyped Quint, more things breaking, dancing, screaming, and even a skit on the idiocy of Ben Carson during his meal break intermission. It’s just highlight after highlight in this video, and what a rollercoaster ride of hilarity and emotions it is.
Run The Jewels 3 First Reaction
Run The Jewels 3 First Reaction
Highlights: "Call Ticketron" [3:34], "Don’t Get Captured" [6:07], Quint recaps the shitshow called 2016 [7:40], "Panther Like A Panther" [16:06]
Quint’s one of the biggest Run the Jewels fans out there, so when RTJ 3 dropped last Christmas, he made probably the most stank-faces he’s ever made in a video. He also talks to his future son about the legacy of Harambe, celebrity deaths, #BLM, and the presidential election in his hilarious skit/recap of 2016.
Starboy First Reaction
Starboy First Reaction
Highlights: "Party Monster" makes Quint break out the leg brace [2:17], Quint starts his own "False Alarm" aerobics class [3:29], Skit on Kanye’s TLOP tour antics [9:43]
Quint has mentioned time and time again that The Weeknd holds a special place in his heart and is one of the big reasons he does his reactions in the first place (see: our interview with him). So he was all over Starboy when it dropped last year - luckily Quint had his leg brace ready to combat the intensity and upbeat tempo of the album. Look out for BigQuint’s "False Alarm" Aerobics class coming soon to a studio near you.
"Tiimmy Turner" First Reaction
Highlights: The whole 1 minute and 50 seconds is a look into a side of Quint we don’t normally get to see.
Quint doesn’t like Desiigner. Like he really doesn’t like Desiigner. He’s in the camp that thinks Desiigner solely exists to bite Future’s flow. But when Desiigner’s “Tiimmy Turner” started gaining viral traction last summer, Quint wasn’t having any of it. He shuts off the song not even halfway through the first verse, exclaiming that he’s “not supporting this bullshit ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever!”
Blonde First Reaction
Blonde First Reaction
Highlights: That new Frank hype [0:34], "Self Control" leaves Quint dumbfounded [5:18], The flip on "Nights" [6:40], Andre’s Solo [9:42], Quint’s introduction to James Blake [13:37]
In his most touching video yet, Quint takes on the highly-anticipated Frank Ocean project Blonde, and in the process personifies all of our feelings while listening to the album. This might be the first time that Quint’s initial listen has left him stumped, unable to give a reaction to the sheer beauty of the music - and not just once, but several times between “Self Control” and “Futura Free.” Quint would later name Blonde as his favorite album of 2016.
