Fans captured Nicki partying up in Trinidad and Tobago.

If there is one thing Nicki Minaj will do, it's show out at Carnival. The Rap icon has been teasing new music for some time, often mysteriously popping up in comment sections to answer fans. She has claimed that her next album will arrive soon, but it has been years since we've received a full project. Although her Barbz often harasses her about new releases, they also know that Minaj is enjoying time with her family and loved ones. The mom and wife regularly shows off her family, and she was spotted enjoying all the festivities that come with Carnival.

She may have been bred in Queens, New York, but Minaj's upbringing in Trinidad and Tobago is where her roots were formed. The Caribbean star is also known for shouting out her home turf and the culture within. Recently, a video of Minaj at the airport surfaced, and she added a message of her own to Instagram. “They said the Queen of rap just touch down in she home country,” she wrote. “Allyuh hear dah or wah,?"

Her Carnival celebrations are not only felt in Trinidad but in music, as well. Yesterday (February 19), Minaj also surprised her fans by releasing “Shake The Place (Remix)” with Machel Montano and Destra. She further teased the visual to the track on her Instagram page, which showed a visual filled with all the sights that Carnival brings. Fans were excited to see Minaj back in action.

“If you f*ck with island girls, rep your flag for me in the comments," Minaj additionally wrote in the caption. Her fans were quick to react and followed instructions. "Trinidad Carnival is about to #ShakeThePlace shake up di whole place. It’s an honor @machelmontano @destragarcia. We’ll talk soon, barbz. Promise. Love you."

Fans Await News About Nicki Minaj's Next Album

Additionally, last November, Minaj was featured in i-D magazine and offered a brief update about her forthcoming project. “The fifth album,” the femcee said. “I’m not gonna say when it’s gonna come out, but the album will be out soon.” For her supporters, this has been a long "soon," but Minaj wants to piece together the best body of work for fans.
