Freddie Gibbs’ issues with the YSL camp have been well-documented over the past few years. Though he earned his first gold plaque alongside Young Thug and A$AP Ferg on “Old English,” his previous comments about Gunna ruffled a few feathers. The DS4EVER rapper appeared in a CNN clip that many mistook for a Crime Stoppers video. Fans immediately labeled him a snitch while acquaintances and other rappers, like Freddie Gibbs, followed suit afterward. However, Gunna continued to push back against these claims.
Though the entire YSL camp appeared to have beef with Freddie Gibbs following the release of Gunna’s “Poochie Gown,” the Gary, IN rapper had fun with it. He allowed the song to play at concerts while creating his own memes inspired by Gunna’s bars. He'd also hop on the 'Gram (prior to being banned) to dance along to the song. Still, he made it clear throughout 2022 that he never wished any of them got locked up, but he was also among the first to chime in after Gunna’s Alford plea footage emerged.
Freddie Gibbs Trolls YSL Woody
The footage of YSL Woody left Twitter in a tizzy and people haven’t held back their feelings. Woody appears in the interrogation room with investigators where he sheds light on Young Thug and YSL as a whole. He mentioned the long-standing feud between Young Thug and YFN Lucci, while also volunteering to get people to vouch for his statements. The three-hour video, shared by Ceddy Nash, added further context to reports that Woody was willing to testify in court.
Gibbs appears to be vindicated by the recent footage. As the rap community piled on after he called out Gunna, he found the humor in Woody’s appearance in the video. At one point, Woody is alone in the room and stands up, touches his wrist, and sits back down. Presumably, he was checking his pulse. Why? Gibbs believes it’s because of his statements. “N***a snitched so hard he had to check his pulse,” he wrote, along with crying emojis. Check out Freddie Gibbs’ tweet above and sound off in the comments with your thoughts on Woody’s interrogation video.
