Kevin Love is in the midst of being bought out.

Kevin Love is one of the best players in the history of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Unfortunately, his last few years with the team have not been great. Although he was fantastic during that four-year LeBron run, he has regressed since. In addition to getting up there in age, Love has made it clear that Cleveland is not where he wants to be. However, for years, he refused to get bought out. Now, though, Love has no choice as the team plans to officially buy out his deal very soon.

Love will now get to decide where he goes next. For the most part, it seems like the Miami Heat are the favorites to get him. Additionally, the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers are angling for Love. For now, it remains to be seen where he will decide to go. LeBron fans are likely hoping for a reunion, however, there is no guarantee that happens. The Lakers have made it clear that they want to go younger, and Kevin Love doesn't exactly fit into that mold.

Kevin Love Honored

That said, Love is still a valued member of the Cavaliers' history. He helped them win their first and only title, which is something fans will always remember. In fact, according to a statement put out by the team, the Cavaliers are preparing the ultimate honor for Love. Yes, that's right, the Cavaliers will be retiring Love's number 0. Considering how things ended for him in Cleveland, this may come as just a bit of a shock. However, the Cavs understand just how much he meant to those championship teams.

Moving forward, it remains to be seen whether or not LeBron and Kyrie Irving will have their jerseys retired by the team. James will get his retired for sure, although Irving is still up in the air. No matter what, we're sure Love is excited about this honor. Let us know what you think about the team's decision, in the comments down below.
