Greg Hardy didn't fare so well over the weekend.

Greg Hardy is someone who has gone through various different careers. Overall, he started out his athletic career as a football player with the Dallas Cowboys. Although he was successful, a domestic violence case had some people demanding his banishment from the league. Eventually, Hardy fizzled out of the NFL and decided to pursue other opportunities. For instance, Hardy went on to become a fighter in the UFC. He started off in the lower ranks and tried to work his way up.

At first, Hardy was actually able to secure some wins here and there. However, there were a few occasions where he got disqualified due to cheap shots. Furthermore, every time he would fight someone of a higher stature, he would lose. His last fight in the UFC ended up being a loss, which led to his contract not being renewed. With his fighting future up in the air, Hardy decided to seek out the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships. This is a boxing promotion in which combatants do not use gloves. It can be a brutal sport, although Hardy wanted to give it a shot.

Greg Hardy Knocked Out

According to TMZ, Hardy was fighting against Josh Watson this weekend. At the start of the fight, it seemed like Hardy may have a shot to win. Although things took a turn for the worse almost immediately as Hardy got forced into the ropes thanks to a huge punch. Consequently, Hardy didn't have much in the tank once the fight reached the second round. Near the beginning of the round, Hardy got knocked out hard, and the referee ended the match. Needless to say, it was not a good start to this BKFC career.

Now, it remains to be seen whether or not Hardy will get another fight in this promotion. After his first appearance, it will be extremely difficult to place him. However, the XFL and the USFL are back, so perhaps he could always just go back to football. No matter what, you never want to get knocked out in your first appearance in a new fighting league.
