The NBA's All-Star Game in February will be held in New Orleans, although that wasn't always the plan.
The Charlotte Hornets were originally scheduled to host the All-Star festivities but the league pulled the plug because of of the North Carolina General Assembly's passing of the controversial HB2 bill.
That said, Jordan Brand still manufactured some special edition All-Star sneakers that feature Hornets-inspired designs like this upcoming "All Star" Air Jordan 31. The kicks feature a predominately black upper, but it's highlighted by iridescent purple and greens, as well as a Hornet logo on the inside of the tongue.
The special edition 31s shown in the gallery figure to release in February right around the 19th which marks the start of All-Star weekend. Retail price will be slightly higher than normal, at $200.
