Michael Jordan made the donation ahead of his 60th birthday.

Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player in the history of the NBA. Overall, he helped the Chicago Bulls win six NBA titles. Moreover, he was able to finish his career with the best average points per game in league history. While many are talking about LeBron right now, there is no doubt that MJ is still seen as the GOAT by most people. Additionally, Jordan has been able to enjoy massive success as an entrepreneur. At this point, his net worth is well over $2 billion as he owns the Charlotte Hornets, and a NASCAR team. Additionally, he even gets a whole bunch of royalties from Jordan Brand.

With all of this money in mind, it should come as no surprise that Jordan is also big on giving back. He has made various donations throughout his career and he will continue to do so. In fact, Jordan is about to turn 60 years old. Consequently, he is taking the opportunity to donate a large sum to one of his favorite organizations. This organization is the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Overall, this is an amazing org that helps kids fulfill their wildest dreams.

Michael Jordan Gives Back

Jordan has worked with the foundation since the late 80s. Subsequently, he will be donating $10 million. According to the Instagram post above, this is the largest individual donation they have ever received. "I can’t think of a better birthday gift than seeing others join me in supporting Make-A-Wish so that every child can experience the magic of having their wish come true," Jordan said. Needless to say, this will go a long way in making the wishes of kids throughout the United States come true.

Jordan's donation is massive and it just goes to show that he has a big heart underneath the competitive spirit he is known for. It is a great gesture, and we can't wait to see what the organization does with it. As for MJ's 60th birthday, it is hard to believe that one of the league's legends is getting up in age. We wish him nothing but prosperity over the coming year.
