Carti was arrested following an incident where he allegedly choked his pregnant girlfriend.

They have had their own tense moments in the past, and Iggy Azalea is speaking on Playboi Carti's recent legal troubles. The two rappers were in a relationship for some time and share a son, Onyx. Their breakup unraveled on social media as Azalea accused Carti of neglecting time with her and their son to creep around with other women. At the time, she also aired out their personal business—a huge moment considering they kept just about every aspect of their romance private.

More recently, Playboi Carti was reportedly arrested for an alleged domestic violence incident. The altercation itself was said to have taken place two months ago. TMZ further stated Carti was detained in Georgia and booked on charges of obstructing a person making a phone call and felony aggravated assault. Azalea emerged on Twitter with a few scathing tweets about her ex. "Been there. Done that. Warned you. 🤷‍♀️," she began.

"Imagine having a pregnant girlfriend and pretending they don’t exist until it comes out you like to abuse them too," Azalea also shared. "[And] rarely visiting your actual son unless is because you’re running from whatever problems ya got going on in Atlanta & the press with your serial abuse of woman 🤷‍♀️. Anyway. I’m having an actually amazing day! karmas real! Treat the people you love well! Happy Valentine’s Day. 💕🙇‍♀️."

According to reports, it was December 20 when Carti's then-20-weeks pregnant girlfriend said they got into an argument over paternity. She claimed a physical altercation ensued, and the rapper grabbed her by the throat until she could barely breathe before shoving her into bushes. Additionally, it wasn't only the woman's account that was told to investigators; a witness was said to have attempted to help the pregnant woman. It gave her enough time to wrestle from Carti and run for help.

However, Carti is accused of chasing his girlfriend to her car, where a second attack occurred. He allegedly yanked her out of the vehicle and placed his hand over her mouth. She was finally able to contact the authorities using her cellphone's "S.O.S." feature. When police arrived, they took note of her physical injuries, including bruising to her chest, back, and neck. Carti's attorney denies the allegations and believes the case will be dismissed. Further, the rapper has not issued any statements about the accusations of abuse.
