LeBron James was among many fans who attended the Super Bowl last night. Overall, it was an incredible, high-scoring affair that saw the Kansas City Chiefs prevail with a 38-35 win. This was a huge win for Patrick Mahomes, who has now secured his legacy with two Super Bowl victories. If you are a Chiefs fan, you cannot be prouder of how this team played. Although they were down by 10 at the half, they were able to come back with a victory for the ages. This is easily one of the best Super Bowls ever, and it is very hard to deny that. However, we're sure Philly fans will beg to differ.
One main point of contention throughout the game was the pass interference call near the end of the game. At the time, the Chiefs were driving down the field with just a few minutes left. They were close to the Eagles' end zone, and the game was on the line. Subsequently, Kansas City was gifted with a first down that ultimately led to them driving the clock down to 8 seconds. Consequently, they kicked a field goal and eventually won the game.
LeBron James Reacts
LeBron James was not a fan of the call whatsoever. In fact, he took to Twitter where he voiced his opinion on the matter. Overall, it is easy to see why he wouldn't find this call to be very good. It was marginal, and James goes through plenty issues with the officials over in the NBA. "Sorry but I don’t like that call! Not for the Super Bowl man!" he wrote. "His hand on his back had no effect on his route! This game was too damn good for that call to dictate the outcome at the end. Damn! By the way I have no horse in the race. Just my professional opinion."
James certainly is not the only fan who felt this way about the game. However, there is no going back at this point. Moving forward, the Eagles will just have to live with the loss. Meanwhile, the Chiefs will be celebrating for a very long time. No matter what, their latest title is certainly well-deserved.
