OMB Peezy shines on the lyrical "Pressure."

OMB Peezy, the Alabama rapper who recently signed to 300 (which also houses Migos, Young Thug, Tee Grizzley & more), has announced a new album. The project is set to be a collaboration with Cardo Got Wingz, and it will be titled Humble Beginnings. Other than the fact that it's dropping at some point in October. that's all we know about the album.  In conjunction , Peezy dropped an accompanying song and video called "Pressure." It should be noted that "Pressure" will not be appearing on Humble Beginnings, but if this track is any indication of Peezy's bars, it may very well be flames.

"Pressure" finds OMB Peezy donning a baby blue tracksuit, driving alongside a desolate southern road. While he's certainly laying down some lyrical braggadocio, the isolated nature of the K Welch directed video captures Peezy's aforementioned "Humble Beginnings." The young rapper manages to weave dexterously between the two facets of his personality, reflecting on his past with lines like "strapped up with a stack on me, trap me up I lay you flat homie, I worked too hard just to get that money I never let a n*gga take that from me." He's clearly worked hard to get where he is now, but if anyone tries him, Peezy won't hesitate to take it back to the hood.

Over a sparse piano arrangement, Peezy's lyrics take center stage as he flows over the unpredictable percussion. It's always cool to see an up-and-coming rapper respect the art of lyricism and flow, and Peezy's two-minute freestyle features both in abundance. While you won't find "Pressure" on Humble Beginnings, it stands to reason that the album cuts will be even better. Stay tuned for that to drop come October.

Quotable Lyrics

Strapped up with a stack on me
Trap me up I lay you flat homie
I worked too hard just to get that money
I never let a n*gga take that from me."
