Irvin believes a hotel employee falsely accused him of misconduct.

Michael Irvin is going through a bit of a bizarre situation right now. As we reported earlier this week, he was accused of misconduct following an interaction he had at the Renaissance Hotel in Arizona. Subsequently, the NFL Network took him off of their Super Bowl coverage. Additionally, ESPN has been apprehensive about allowing him to make appearances. What makes this even weirder is that law enforcement isn't aware of the allegations. No one even knows what Irvin is specifically being accused of.

However, we do know that his interaction was with a hotel staffer, according to TMZ. Following the interaction, the woman then made a complaint to the NFL. Reports indicate that there were witnesses on hand who can testify that Irvin did nothing wrong. Regardless, Irvin is now taking legal action against the hotel and has filed a $100 million lawsuit. Based on the verbiage throughout the lawsuit, it is clear that Irvin is baffled by the allegations brought upon him.

"Rash and thoughtless actions can have severe consequences. Marriott [parent company of Renaissance Hotels] apparently did not appreciate these simple truths when, in a rush to judgment, its employees and management inaccurately and inflammatorily accused Mr. Irvin of misconduct to the National Football League," the lawsuit says. Moreover, Irvin's attorneys are chalking this up as another example of cancel culture. Whether or not that is true, still remains to be seen. No matter what, this whole situation is bizarre, and many are still looking for answers.

For now, Irvin will remain off the air as it pertains to the upcoming Super Bowl festivities. The big game is going to be taking place on Sunday, and Irvin will not be doing any pre-game predictions. Hopefully, this situation gets some more clarity, sooner rather than later. Let us know what you think of this debacle, in the comments below.
