While loads of rappers claim a lot of talent and skill in the game, only a select few have the chops to moonlight as stand-up comedians. Freddie Gibbs is at the top of that pantheon, and he recently clowned Tristan Thompson for a TV interview. Moreover, he took to Twitter to upload a video of Thompson speaking on Kyrie Irving's trade request. Also, he specifically spoke about potentially linking back up with his Cavaliers teammates Irving and LeBron James. "One thing about LeBron, he makes the game so simple," Tristan remarked. "That's why he brings the best out of Kyrie, but all his teammates. I was mad they broke the team up the first time. So, I text Kyrie, I said 'Time to get the gang back together.' Because it can happen on the West Coast."
Later, in the background, you can hear Freddie say "N***a, please" and laughing in a deep-toned, fancy accent. Presumably, he made fun of the light tone of voice and charming smiles that Thompson displayed on TV. Nevertheless, that's what many caught onto in his Twitter replies. "Why he sound so nutrasweet?" one user replied. Another commented, "I was not expecting this n***a voice to sound like this lmaoooo."
Still, Freddie has his own take on the Kyrie trade. "Kyrie going to the lakers," he wrote on Friday (February 3). Many seem to agree with him, but also doubt Tristan's chances of getting on. Regardless of its implications, the revelation spread quick and brought much discussion. For example, LeBron seemingly responded to the news with a simple eyes emoji and crown emoji on Twitter.
Meanwhile, on his part, Kyrie spoke on his desires on Twitter as well. While this situation is still developing, it seems very few can escape Gibbs' jabs. Even though he doesn't treat his beefs seriously, to watch him dunk on another is always hilarious. Come back to HNHH for the latest on Kyrie Irving, and for the next victim of Freddie Gibbs' sharp comedy skills.
