Big Sean is still humbled by what Lil Wayne said about him on their Dark Sky Paradise collaboration "Deep."
"I feel like Sean, don't get enough shine," Wayne rapped on the track. "Is it because he ain't got the tattoos?/He ain't throwing up signs/Well, let me throw up mine."
When the two rappers crossed paths at Powerhouse 2017 in San Bernardino, CA Saturday night, Sean showed his appreciation for Wayne's kind words in a post to Instagram. "Man I'll never forget what u said bout me on my song "Deep" bro on some real shit," he captioned a picture of himself and Weezy. He then returned the favor by giving credit where credit is due: "U changed rap 4ever, God bless you!"
Sean also made sure to hashtag the post #C5, showing his support for the release of Wayne's long-awaited studio album Tha Carter V. The album is currently in limbo as Wayne goes through the legal process of separating with his label Cash Money. Recently, Wayne was pictured with the children of Cash Money co-founder Bryan "Birdman" Williams, which led to speculation that the two had reconciled. However, there's been no confirmation of that rumor.
Big Sean and Lil Wayne have previously worked together on tracks like "Beware" and "My Homies Still." Could this meet-up mean another collaboration is in the cards for these two?
